Alfex CNC Australia

Alfex CNC Australia required someone to renovate an old Thomastown warehouse/office building that was set to become their new home. The building was extremely dated and run down, needing urgent attention.

The transformation process would see it become a state-of-the-art corporate head office, warehouse, workshop, and training facility.

To achieve their desired outcome, Alfex needed a fitout that displayed exceptional detail and finish, representing the company’s family heritage.

In addition, they wanted to uphold a branding image for their ‘HAAS’ range of products. This requirement was due to HAAS’s sponsorship of the Formula 1 racing team.

Like the F1 team, Alfex’s design and attention to detailed perfection were to be a representation of culture, precision, and excellence, providing a world-class experience within their office.

With plenty of background information to work with, the Bowen Interiors team created a solution.

The process began with a professional design and engineering package that included 3D visual renders, mood boards, and detailed documentation. This process created concepts and design options that focused on operational efficiencies, fine aesthetics, and quality materials tailored to the specific requirements of the brief.

The process of engaging trades & services and supplying loose furniture fittings & joinery offered a complete turnkey solution.

Throughout the project, deliverables included:

  • New ground and first-floor amenities.
  • New ground and first-floor kitchens.
  • Bi-fold walling system for flexible training/meeting spaces.
  • Customised carpets.
  • Unique trowel-on polished aggregate flooring system.
  • Dust & fume extraction systems.
  • Stainless steel compressed air systems.
  • Exposed industrial concrete slab ceilings, with architectural acoustics.
  • Security & CCTV.
  • All regular building trades supplying electrical, lighting & data, mechanical, plumbing, fire services, carpentry, joinery, furniture & architectural fittings.

The Bowen Storage design team also assisted Alfex with the implementation of storage systems and mezzanine floor construction. The solution aimed to provide an upper deck mezzanine that would create additional storage space.

Two parts of the Bowen business came together to help achieve a vision.

The outcome of that vision was a stunning design that brought a dream to life. The corporate elegance and quality of the facility is something that was once difficult to imagine when presented with the initial state of the building.

The investment will reap a lifetime of positive return, including real estate value, staff satisfaction & engagement, operational efficiencies, and a far superior customer experience for Alfex CNC clients.

Overall, when it comes to ‘end-to-end’ facility transformations, superior customer service, clear communications, strict adherence to detail & compliance, and uncompromising alignment of design and vision are of vital importance for a successful project partnership.
