EAton Vehicle Group
office fitout
Eaton had a logistical challenge to bring four different business units from separate locations together into one new facility.
Their goal was to save on expenditure by utilising existing fittings where possible but ensuring they still retained a fresh and professional image. The four businesses had vastly different furniture styles, creating the challenge of integrating them into one facility.
Their brief was to partner with the construction company, Qanstruct, to provide additional joinery and services to meet the total fitout requirement at the new site. Specifically:
- Relocate existing workstations and furniture recently supplied by Bowen Interiors at Eaton’s Kilsyth facility.
- Install existing workstations and furniture at the new Rowville site and add matching new equipment to fulfil the quantity required for the new fitout.
Location: Rowville, VIC
Industry: Automotive
Size of Space: 2090 sqm
Bowen Interiors assisted Eaton in relocating only the fittings that would complement the new workspace. The fittings were strategically integrated with the new furnishings, providing a clean, contemporary appearance to the overall facility.
There was a challenge with the different sizing of the workstations between the existing sites and the new site. However, with intricate planning, this was achieved with minimal wastage of components.
The final workspace setup has provided Eaton with an efficient and productive workspace, easily adaptable to the changing needs of staff. It has allowed the company to make the best use of its skilled labour and to retain the talent it has established within its workforce.
The entire facility has outperformed the expectations of Eaton Vehicle Group, with the venue now being used for multi-function purposes, including industry training to support the company’s partners and having the resources to host large group events.
Martin Toomey of Eaton Vehicle Group said our company couldn’t have been happier with the final result, “Bowen Interiors did a terrific job, our new home looks great, feels professional, works well and it’s delivering upon all its promises to engage employees.”
