Marnebek School
Bespoke furniture
Marnebek School, situated in Melbourne’s southeastern suburbs, has undertaken a comprehensive upgrade of its administration building to enhance the learning environment for its special students. The school’s core values of responsibility, safety, respect, and resilience are deeply ingrained in its mission, and this upgrade seeks to further support these ideals.
The administration building, a central hub for school activities, houses a reception area, discussion rooms, private offices, and a breakout zone for educators. To revitalise the spaces and create a more inviting atmosphere, some bespoke furniture was incorporated into the upgrade.
Location: Cranbourne East, VIC
Industry: Education
The custom furniture was meticulously crafted with special fabrics that exude elegance and comfort. This infusion of quality materials instantly transformed the ambience of the building, enveloping occupants in a cosy and welcoming environment. The tactile qualities of the fabrics not only appealed to the senses but also contributed to a sense of belonging, particularly for the school’s special students.
One of the most significant aspects of this upgrade is its cultural inspiration drawn from traditional Aboriginal art. The bespoke furniture was adorned with intricate designs reminiscent of Australia’s Indigenous heritage. This cultural infusion serves as a powerful educational tool, sparking conversations and promoting cultural awareness among students, staff, and visitors.
